QA Performance Test Engineer

The QA Test team is part of Engineering and responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of the Asset Control products. The QA Engineer plays a leading role in ensuring the overall quality of a number of these products. As a QA Engineer you are able to develop and maintain the QA test frameworks, functional and performance tests and run the automated test systems. You’ll work closely with the R&D engineers and technical writers but have an independent role in assuring product quality. Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Design, create, execute, automate and document performance tests;
- Analyze performance and system resource behavior for the AC products and tune the software and hardware for optimal performance;
- Develop robust, flexible and maintainable software that can be used to execute and add new performance tests easily;
- Communicate performance test results and knowledge on how to tune the environment for optimal performance, both verbally and in written reports;
- Assist clients in tuning their environment for optimal performance of the AC products.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline;
- In-depth knowledge of at minimum one database (Oracle, Sybase or DB2);
- The ability to analyze system and network behavior (e.g. memory, CPU, I/O) in a Unix environment;
- Knowledge of Unix Operating Systems (Linux and Solaris);
- Knowledge of and experience with Shell scripting;
- Knowledge of and experience with test methods and techniques for performance testing;
- Experience in writing test documentation i.e. performance test plans, reports;
- Knowledge of Java, C, Perl and AWK is a plus;
- Experience within the financial industry is a plus.

Seniority Level (years of relevant experience): Has been active in a comparable function in a software development environment for at least 3 years.
