QA Java Developer
Department: Engineering Location: Beetsterzwaag or Amsterdam Apply for this postJob Summary: The QA Test team is part of Engineering and responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of the Asset Control products. The QA Engineer plays a leading role in ensuring the overall quality of a number of these products. As a QA Engineer you are able to develop and maintain the QA test frameworks, functional and performance tests and run the automated test systems. You’ll work closely with the R&D engineers and technical writers but have an independent role in assuring product quality. Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Design, create, execute, automate and document functional and performance QA tests;
- Develop robust, flexible and maintainable software that can be used to execute and add new tests easily;
- Maintain and extend QA existing tests for product maintenance;
- Work with the R&D Engineers and Technical Writers to assure the best quality and rapid turnaround for changes that surface during functional and performance testing;
- Work on problems that are complex in scope.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline;
- In-depth knowledge of the Java programming language;
- Experience in working with and deploying applications in a J2EE environment like JBoss, Websphere and Weblogic;
- Experience in developing, working with and deploying applications using diverse middleware including JMS and Web Services;
- Knowledge of and experience with QA test methods and techniques;
- Experience in writing test documentation i.e. test plans, reports;
- Knowledge of and experience with SQL;
- Knowledge of and experience with Unix (Linux, Solaris) and Shell scripting is a plus;
- Experience within the financial industry is a plus.
