Asset Control Allies with Sun Microsystems To Deliver AC Turnkey Data SolutionSun Hardware to Underpin New AC Solution Center in New York City Opening in July, in Addition to European Solution CenterNew York, June 20, 2005
Asset Control, a leading provider of centralized data management solutions to the financial industry, today announced it is working jointly with Sun Microsystems to provide Asset Control customers with AC Turnkey Solutions. These turnkey solutions combine reliable and powerful Sun servers with industry-proven AC Plus software. Configured to customer requirements, they are built in the AC Solution Center labs, tested and customer-approved before installation at the customer site, ready for downstream integration.
"Our relationship with Sun enables us to provide a complete hardware-and-software turnkey solution, offering our customers full confidence in the core elements of their strategic data management initiatives," said Ger Rosenkamp, CEO of Asset Control. "According to our customers, Sun servers are the favored hardware platform for the enterprise-wide data integration solutions we provide. We are delighted that our first turnkey project built on Sun hardware in our Solution Center was accomplished at a European bank within days."
Sun hardware also furnishes the Asset Control European Solution Center in the Netherlands, as well as the new Solution Center in Times Square in New York City, scheduled to open in July. The Solution Centers serve as development labs for configuration of turnkey solutions prior to installations at customer sites. In addition, the Solution Centers serve as a near-production environment for running AC Plus solutions for Basel II data and reference data, enabling on-site and on-line visitors to become familiar with the features and options of Asset Control software.
About AC Turnkey Solutions
The AC Turnkey Solutions program slashes project risk, eliminating virtually all on-site work implementing data solutions, except for downstream integration that is usually done at the customer site. Based on the flexible AC Plus Modular framework, these turnkey solutions include automated gathering and standardization of investment data from internal and external sources, transforming it to "golden copy" for use by downstream systems and users. AC Plus solutions may be configured to support risk management and compliance, enterprise reference data, and front-to-back-office data integration.
"We are delighted to be supporting Asset Control's turnkey solutions program and their innovative Solution Centers. More than 90 percent of Asset Control customers have already chosen to centralize their data management on Sun servers, and we believe that the speed and simplicity of the AC Turnkey Solutions program will attract even more financial institutions to this robust solution," said Nigel Woodward, Sun's Global Manager for Capital Markets and Securities.
