Asset Control, the industry standard for data management in financial services, today announced two new executive appointments to its senior management team. Peter Bennfors joins the company from Misys as Chief Financial Officer and Rich Katsoff joins from IBM in a newly created role as Head of Services.
The appointments, which follow a majority investment by Fidelity Ventures in April 2007, mark the first step towards expanding the company’s senior management team in order to scale the business and drive accelerated growth. As CFO, Mr. Bennfors will play a crucial role to help implement Asset Control’s strategy and its expansion across a range of clients and geographies. The Head of Services position is a far-ranging role, created with greater streamlining of global processes and operations in mind. In this position, Mr. Katsoff will have direct responsibility for the pre-sales and account management functions, as well as Asset Control’s professional services organization and Solution Center. He will also oversee the company’s approach to relationships with alliance partners.
Phil Lynch, Asset Control President and CEO, said, “We are delighted that two executives of this caliber will be joining the company, as we focus on building a global leadership team with the experience and capability to support the next stage of Asset Control’s growth and success. Going forward we need to maintain the distinctive entrepreneurial energy that has made this company so successful while ensuring the transition to a functionally-aligned and integrated, global organization with breadth and depth of senior management. These appointments signal the start of an exciting new phase at Asset Control, as we focus on expanding the scope and scale of our business, building on a strong existing core and an impressive client base.”

Prior to joining Misys, Mr. Bennfors was CFO of Summit Systems Group. Mr. Bennfors is a qualified chartered accountant, having started his career at Price Waterhouse in the UK.
