From the module list below, the Asset Control eLearning curriculum is modular in approach. As such, our eLearning solution is as customizable, and flexible as possible. You are free to mix-and-match in order to meet your exact requirements.

4-eyes principle  
Module code: ACM05 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: In order to have more control over the validation process, Asset Control introduces the 4-Eyes Principle. Suspect data and exceptions now have to pass a second review before their modified status becomes final. This module shows you how to handle suspect data in the roles of both the Guardian and the Inspector.
A tour of the AC Desktop
Module code: ACM01 Type: Overview module; Modulette; End-user module
Description: The AC Desktop is a platform independent Java application that is used by end users, administrators and developers as the primary user interface to the Asset Control product suite. This modulette shows you how to work with the different elements of the AC Desktop.
AC APIs
Module code: ACB2-04 Type: Technical module
Description: Connectivity between Asset Control and other applications is achieved by means of the Asset Control APIs. This module describes the functionality of the COM, C and Java APIs.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this module you:
- will have a thorough understanding of the basics of the AC APIs
- will be aware of the APIs that exist in the product
- will be able to work with the APIs
AC Com: Excel add-in
Module code: ACB2-14 Type: End-user module; Technical module
Description: This module will detail how to retrieve and upload data from and to Asset Control with AC Com.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this module you:
- will be able to install and use the AC_Com interface
- will be able to retrieve data
- will be able to upload data
AC Concepts
Module code: Intro3 Type: Overview module
Description: This modulette introduces you to the basic Asset Control product concepts, some key words and the golden copy process.
AC Contour
Module code: ACM-07 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: This modulette introduces you to the AC Contour application. The AC Contour is a special application in which you can easily generate curves or surfaces which provide easy-to-interpret visual representations of underlying data.
ADO hierarchy
Module code: ACM03 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: The Hierarchy module offers you an alternative way to view relationships between ADOs. Learn how to view ADOs graphically with the ADO Hierarchy modulette.
An introduction to AC Plus
Module code: Intro2 Type: Overview module
Description: This course is an overview module that provides a short introduction to AC Plus, the in-house data management platform.
An introduction to Asset Control
Module code: Intro1 Type: Overview module
Description: This course is an overview module that provides a short introduction to the Asset Control product. While doing so, it touches upon various other Asset Control eLearning modules and where and how they link to the product.
Chart 4D
Module code: ACM04 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: This module introduces you to the Chart 4D module. The Chart 4D module is an optional component in the AC Desktop that makes it possible to view data dimensionally and detect a visual pattern in the way data appears.
Excel COM
Module code: ACB2-06 Type: End-user module; Technical module
Description: Learn how to retrieve and upload data with the Excel add-in supplied with Asset Control.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this module you:
- will be able to install and use the Excel COM interface
- will be able to retrieve data into Excel via Excel COM
- will be able to upload data into Asset Control via Excel COM
Formula Engine advanced
Module code: ACB2-13 Type: Technical module
Description: This module deals with advanced functionality of the Formula Engine, such as: type checking, caching data, dynamic linking.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this module you:
- will be able to work with the advanced functionality of the FE
Searching and browsing
Module code: ACM09 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: The AC Desktop offers you various ways to search the database. This modulette shows you different ways to search and browse for data.
The Form Designer
Module code: ACM02 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: The ADO Form and the ADO Form Designer modules offer you a simplified way to view and maintain ADOs. This modulette introduces both modules.
The Formula Engine
Module code: ACB2-03 Type: Technical module
Description: This module introduces you to the general functionality of the central calculation facility of Asset Control: the Formula Engine.
Learning objectives:
At the end of this module you:
- will have a thorough understanding of the basics of the FE
- will be able to create FE formulas
The task bar
Module code: ACM08 Type: Modulette; End-user module
Description: Whereas you can work with the AC Desktop on a module-based approach, AC software also allows for a task-based approach. Learn more about the possibilities of the Task Bar menu in this modulette.
